SPN Challenge


SPN is excited to provide our first Performance and Transformation Challenge! Here's the information you'll need about the Challenge. Please send any questions you may have about participating to support@simplepurenutrients.com.

When does the challenge start?

Our goal is to start Oct 21, 2012.

We need 200 participants to begin the contest and cannot begin until we reach that number.  SPN reserves the right to delay the challenge start until that number of people are participating. We thank you, in advance, for your patience.

How much is this challenge going to cost me?

The only cost is the purchase of our Challenge Pack which is $125.00. The Challenge Pack is one month supply of SPN Pro3, one Elite Recovery Fuel, and one 30 day supply of our Fish Oil. You can purchase this pack online here. If you need it shipped to you we will ship it via USPS 2-day priority shipping (shipping cost additional).

Can I just pick the product up?

Sure, if you live in the Denver Metro area, we would be happy to deliver the product to your affiliate for you to pick up. Just make sure to add the promo code 'denverdeliver' before final purchase of the Challenge Pack. Remember, this only applies to Denver Metro area residents.

How long is this challenge?

This is a 30 day challenge. That is it! This should be enough time for you to get on track to the new and incredibly improved and healthier you!!!

Are there going to be prizes?

Of course! There will be two (2) $1,000 winners! One for Transformation and one for Performance. There are also additional awards for Leadership, Motivation and Inspiration (LMI). $200 will be awarded for each LMI category. Also, a random drawing will be held to select two winners of another SPN Challenge Pack! Each winner is responsible for all taxes, fees and withholdings pursuant to all local, state and federal laws. All participants will, also, receive a 15% off coupon for the next purchase of SPN products.

How do I get entered in challenge?

To enter the SPN Transformation and Performance Challenge, go to the Facebook registration page “FaceBook/SimplyPureNutrients” - and fill out form and then purchase SPN Challenge pack via the SPN website here.  You must purchase an SPN Challenge Pack to participate in the Challenge. You must complete and follow all instructions on the entry form. As a participant you, do not have to be an active member of a CrossFit Affiliate but we encourage you to be a member of the CrossFit community.

What are the requirements for the challenge?

  1. Purchase of Challenge Pack.
  2. Submit a 'before' picture within 3 days and post to SPN Challenge database.
  3. Submit an 'after' picture within 3 days of last day of contest with newspaper to show current date.
  4. Use Paleo and/or Zone nutrition methodology to log food and gain points. (a maximum of 10 points per day is awarded for eating clean the entire day - Cheat meals and alcohol get logged as a minus 2 (-2) per indulgent or transgression when adding overall score-logged on SPN Challenge database). You are responsible for regularly accessing your account to enter your meals, WOD’s and other components such as body measurements, goals, before and after photos, etc. You will be reminded via FB group posts, but the responsibility is solely yours.
  5. You have up to 24 hours to enter your food and WOD/exercise compliance for a given day, and if nothing was entered it will automatically count as -2 points.
  6. You must exercise or WOD 5 days per week- one (1) point per session or WOD which must be logged on SPN Challenge database - a maximum of one (1) point per day.
  7. Double WOD’s or double session only count for one point for that day.
  8. The performance WOD will be released on Wednesdays and must be completed by the following Sunday and can count as one of your logged WOD’s for the week.  Please video the WOD and submit to your SPN Challenge database account. SPN will provide video footage of movement standards via facebook.com/simplypurenutrients.  All participants will be required to meet the video instruction criteria as well as movement standards in order for reps/times/scores to count.
  9. Must log daily meals within 24 hours to gain points for each WOD, exercise session and meals for that day. The result is -2 point if nothing is logged for that day.
  10. Rest days must be logged and will add one point per rest day. Maximum two per week.
  11. Measurements must be completed by a certified CrossFit level one coach or a submitted video if done by someone else for transformation and logged on SPN Challenge database.   12. A Short essay (300 words max) at end of the challenge telling the world how this has helped transform you, including how you LEAD, MOTIVATED or INSPIRED others. Additional essay input from children, coaches and friends can be accepted, in addition, to competitor essay. 25 points maximum value for this portion of the challenge.

Okay, so how do my points add up exactly?

The competition is 30 days in duration, approximately 4 weeks.

WOD - Maximum points = 30 (this includes 1 - 2 days of rest LOGGED per week) Whatever day the challenge begins constitutes the start of the week but rule of thumb get 5 days into a 7 day span.

FOOD -  Maximum points = 300 (this is for either a PALEO diet OR ZONE diet - make that choice before day one... whatever you chose on the first day will be what we are looking for throughout your challenge - don’t choose Paleo one day, then say oh, well today I followed the Zone, well, I didn’t really understand the Zone so I’m just gonna do Paleo, wait what’s Paleo again?) Do a bit of reading and know your choice!

SPN Products - Maximum points = 90 Take your Pro3 (mix it with water, coconut milk, almond milk, make it into a shake with veggies, the choice is yours), Elite Recovery and Fish Oil every day (each product yields you a point a day = 3 points when you take all 3 for the day)

ESSAY - Maximum points = 25 - the “how to” on this portion is explained above.

So, if you have a stellar 30 days, you will have accumulated 445 points. In addition, to the points, your increase in work load or your transformation will play a role in determining the overall champion of the challenge.

Additional explanation for performance WOD’s will be released prior to start of challenge.

This seems to be kind of an honor system challenge, doesn’t it?

Yes, it is. We can’t be with you 24/7 and if you go in the pantry while no one is looking and down a Snickers bar and don’t log it, well, yes, the onus is on you to log it. However, cheating will not be tolerated or condoned and will result in the loss of eligibility to win prizes. When you cheat in any way, it will ultimately show either in your appearance, lack of progress or the lack of performance. However, we trust that in the good nature of the CrossFit community and we don’t expect this to be an issue during our challenge!

Will there be a benchmark WOD?

Yes, there will be workouts that must be performed at the beginning of the challenge and the end of the challenge for both categories of competitors.

What if there is a tie?

Well, that’s when we break out the chicken bones, and pray to the Gods for a sign… Seriously, we know that it would be a difficult decision and may come down to minute details about each Challenge participant; that’s why they pay us the big bucks to make decisions! Ultimately, we will determine a winner based on the criteria and the essays submitted.

Anything else I should know?

There is always something, isn’t there? Well, you aren’t signing your life away but Challenge and Performance participants agree that all data, pictures, videos , essays, testimonials and information collected during this challenge can be used by SPN for publicity, marketing and advertisement purposes in the future for an indefinite period of time. Please ensure you have signed the completion waiver and send to us. We will send to all participants via email.

What else? What’s the catch?

No catch, just the usual legal verbiage:

Participants and competitors agree to hold harmless Simply Pure Nutrients Inc or any participating CrossFit affiliates for any disputes, issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Challenge, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Colorado, U.S.A and resolved in Colorado courts, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Colorado or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Colorado. Except where prohibited, entrants hereby agree that any claims, disputes or actions of any kind shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action and waive all rights to claim indirect, punitive, incidental, consequential damages and/or multipliers of damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred as the result of participation in the Challenge. The parties hereby agree to waive their respective rights to a jury trial of any claim or cause of action related to or arising out of the Challenge. The scope of the waiver is intended to be all encompassing of any and all disputes that may be filed in any court and that relate to the Challenge, including without limitation, contract claims, tort claims, breach of duty claims, and all other common law, regulatory, and statutory claims. In the event, of litigation, these Official Rules may be filed as written consent to a trial by court. If any part of these Official Rules is declared invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect the validity of the balance of these Official Rules.
